All children within the
designated age groups (see navigation at left)
are welcome at the Reading Friends preschool. There is
no pre-testing for qualification. Graduates of Reading
Friends are almost always accepted into the best private
and public schools, leading many parents to refer to
Reading Friends as the premiere prep school.
Our curriculum, Phonics Advantage, is based on
the Alphabet Phonics Curriculum which originates from
the famous Orton-Gillingham approach to teaching
phonetics and language structure.
Our gross motor training program is designed to develop
self-confidence through positive learning. The
fundamental motor skills provide each child with a
foundation for developing the patterns for learning upon
which cognitive processes are formed. Successful mastery
of these skills encourages children to learn with
enthusiasm which transfers to other learning
experiences.
The Reading Friends preschool program also provides a
creative learning experience which exposes children to
the world of literature, art, math, social studies, and
science. The focus on children's literature generates
topics for study in science, social studies, and health.
For registration information please
contact the school directly.
Children must be two years of age prior to the start of
school in order to be enrolled.
